Requesting a Speaker from the Tribunal

The Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario is committed to promoting a clear understanding of its work - resolving claims of discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Important: as an independent, quasi-judicial tribunal, the HRTO can only speak about its procedures and how claims of discrimination are resolved. If you are looking for someone to provide more general information about the Ontario human rights system or the Human Rights Code, please contact the Ontario Human Rights Commission.

To request an HRTO speaker for your event please:

  • send an e-mail to hrto.tdpo@ontario.ca using the subject line "Request for Speaker"
  • include the name of your organization, the proposed topic, the date, time and location, the anticipated number of attendees, the planned format of your event (e.g. keynote, panel discussion) and your contact information

    • Providing as much advance notice as possible will help us to accommodate your request. While we may not have the resources to accept all requests for speakers, we will do our best and will respond to your e-mail as quickly as possible, whether we can accept your invitation or not.
